So, I finally got a D700, and it came with the MB-D10 Bat Grip. So, I obviously would like to get the EN-EL4 battery to get the wonderful 8 FPS out of my D700.

I don't want to spend the $120 for the Nikon version, so am looking for a good off-brand alternative.

These are some that I have found:
- http://www.amazon.com/Equivalent-Battery-Digital-Accessory-Warranty/dp/B001CCR83C/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1270239699&sr=1-6
- http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-EN-EL4-ENEL4-for-Nikon-D2H-D2Hs-D2X-D2Xs-D2Z-F6_W0QQitemZ320509311923QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBatteries_Chargers?hash=item4a9fd7fbb3
- http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-Charger-for-NIKON-EN-EL4-EN-EL4A-ENEL4-ENEL4A_W0QQitemZ130377948744QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBatteries_Chargers?hash=item1e5b219e48

So I guess, out of these, which would you say would work the best? OR if you personally use an off-brand battery for your MB-D10 if you could inform me on what it is.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Personally, I use mine with eight of the Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable AA batteries. You get the same frame rate increase, and spare batteries are much cheaper and easier to find!

Also, FYI, I can shoot ~ 2000 frames on a full charge before I start getting the low battery warning and seeing the frame rate drop.

hmm... you make a good point. and I do have a ridiculous amount of rechargeable batteries that rarely get used...

yeah, the charger is more expensive than the battery. But, I found some off-brand chargers for about $25.

I think I'll just use the rechargeable batteries like you guys use. About a year ago I purchased like ten 8 packs of energizer rechargeable batteries (they were on sale for like $5 a pack!). Many of them haven't even been opened yet. Got them because I was planning on going 100% strobist, but ended up getting Alien Bees.
