I am posting from my gaming machine and cannot judge color or exposure due to the uncalibrated monitor which is a bit dark but I think I like the top composition more.

It seems to me that in the first one the subject is the man. In the second (and this may seem silly) the subject seems to be the empty space on the bench beside the man.

There is an empty space in the first one too but the man is faceing the space like he expects somone to fill it. In the second he has his back to the space which seems a little lonely to me. Maybe to me the first invokes an alone but hopeful feeling and the second and alone and expecting to stay that way feeling.

I think they are both successful because they invoked a feeling.

    Just my 2 cents.

#1 The first. Wouldn't mind making him standout a little more against his background, tho. ne_nau.gif

    #2 The second.

Which do I prefer? Or which is best, hahaha
    Which do you all prefer?

Black and white hands down. Love it lots, scared it might beat all. Am not impressed with the color one. Think I will go change all mine to grainy black and white. I love that shot.

Ginger, that line in your post for some reason hid some of its content. I amended your post so that all of your words would show.
