Here is my second idea... "Losing composure...the death of a leaf"

First idea re-takes follow these.

Thanks for everyone's helpful comments on my first post. I re-shot the candle trying for the same smoke patterns (close!) with the softer lighting.

    Hi Chris,

Your leafs shots are very nice and interesting - great work!
However, to me they don't say death...

I like tiyr candles - I think #5 more, but I would try to fade a little the smoke
to the right and/ore give more empty space (to the right)

wow. really really really hard to decide. i absolutely love your new entries... the texture, the concept, the works. of the leaf theme, i love #4 the most, as it represents the decaying nature of the leaf most. however, i continue to love your candle shots... and the reshoots are an improvement on the already excellent originals. can't say which one i prefer the most of those... #5 has the best sense of motion from the smoke, #7 has the most visually appealing symmetry of curves between the smoke and the melted candle wax, and am drawn to the b&w and how it brings out the movement of the smoke. i don't think you will go wrong with whichever you wind up choosing. clap.gifclapclap.gif

Tatiana...I agree that the candles say 'ending' more than the leaves. Thanks for the comment.

Dan, thanks for your enthusiasm for my photos! I'm leaning toward the candle, too! Thanks for your comments. Very Helpful.

out of the leaves,i'd say 4, all the candles work equaly well, but i think 7 is the strongest

I agree on 7 with the pooled wax and the smoke being blown horizontal, gives it THE END feeling. The leaves do not do much for me even though they are well executed.
