That I actually think it's a great photo.. (and I hope you do too) I threw my 300s in continuous shot with off camera SB-900 in repeater mode. It was a photo session with a green screen setup for my wifes cousins for their dads (my uncle in law) birthday.

What do you guys think?

thank you very much! yeah like i said, i was very excited the way that it turned out. My cousin's were in awe of the cards going in each different directions and how i was able to capture that, but i was in awe also.

thanks again! and if anyone else wants to chime in please be my guest!

Great idea and very nice shot! The card at the height of the guy's chin gives a cool '3D effect'.thumb.gif

As this was a shoot, two pointers:
    - harsh shadows. If possible, get them about halve a meter (or more) from the background and bounce more. A second flash could help as well. Shadows on a wall can work though, to give a photo more depth. But in this case I would have tried to avoid it.
    - a background is either really 'messy' (brick wall, curtains, etc) or really clean. Your background is somewhat sloppy: I would iron out the wrinkles in PS to get a nice clean background.

    i love it!

the person above me makes good points about the background/distance from the background, though.

Thank you for the notes. I will make sure I do that the next time. And I will go back to the iron and make sure it's a clean background

    Thanks Everyone!
