Removing File Names

How do I remove the file names which are displayed under my images please?

Hi Caroline!

There is a filenames option in the Look & Feel section of the Gallery Settings. Set it to no.

Hi Denise,
Thanks :-) I'd tried that but it didn't remove them as a caption, found this thread http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=104863 from 2008 which solves the problem. Now I just need to try and find any more images where this is happening.

Interesting. I wonder if the filename option has to be set to no before you upload any photos. That's pretty nasty if that's the case.

I'm a bit out of touch so the filename setting was news to me anyway. I've just upgraded back to Pro because I found various little irritations with Power that were unexpected. I've got loads of pics to sort out and upload so finding my way around Power was a pain, couldn't tell whether I was making errors etc, also the non-availability of watermarking. Once you down grade to Power watermarks are uneditable and I came across some images with the huge PROOF on them.

Ah, I wondered how you would like the non-availability of watermarks!

I was just wandering through your recent photos, and you have at least one gallery that is allowing access to originals. I don't know if you intended that. THanks for that Denise, there's such a lot to keep on top of! I'm going to try and use this holiday w/end to get things sorted, lets hope it goes well.

Have you played at all with Collections? I don't know if you have a use for it right now, but I used it for my favorites gallery from my January trip to Hawaii - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/Travel/Peles-wonders-Winter-2010/A-few-favorites/11203378_BPDwL. It was a very nice change not to need to upload copies of photos for this gallery.
