Last year I was out taking photos of our flood, but this year it just didn't interest me like before. So I took photos of something different then "how high" the water was getting.

#2 is straight out of a movie for me--what a setting! I like the b&w treatment for this shot.
_________
Very nice.
Hi Liz..
Kinda reminds of me of the movie North By Northwest only there is water in the fields.
Thanks Liz for you comments

Hi,
I understand completely what your saying I was thinking along the line that people might of seen the flood on the news and might like to see a different perspective of it. I should of titled it differently -- my mistake.
Probably most representing of the flood would be the BW photo. Those fields were totally covered with overland flooding. And no one would of known that #4 is actully the flooded parking lot here.
If you want to see my real flood photos from this year -- they are here.
Thanks for letting me know my mistake

I think this series really is some of your best work, each and everyone
has a distinct character to them.
Really well seen and captured.

I do not feel your title was a mistake at all.
Your perspective is not just different; it is unique. That's why it wasn't what I expected--so you accomplished the goal of providing a different perspective
Thanks

Hi Craig ...
I was in one of my -- what do I shoot kinda moods when we went out that day. These were taken when the water was just coming up. That road was right by the new high school....city wasn't to smart building it here.
Thanks for the comments

Hi,
My hubby liked that shot the best too and thought it should be printed out. It will probably get printed and framed sometime. Sure shows the vastness of ND.
Happy you liked it

This is a super series. #2 is quite outstanding. It's kind of funny....when you least expect it, you can end up with a most poignant picture. #2 is just such a shot. It's a wall hanger for sure.
Tom
Hi Tom --
Your so right..when you least expect it -- you find something that's a keeper. #2 was a shot I grabbed getting back into the car
