Two more bees and a fly.

Still trying to get the feel for the bees. I mixed up some honey and sugar and got cute and put a little orange extract in it. I think it repels more than attracts. I threw it away. Got these without bait but I have a new batch mixed up now, sans orange extract, and will hit them hard with it tomorrow. Got all of these on the numerous Milkweeds that have sprung up in the last few days.

Once you get used to the shooting conditions- you may want to add some diffusion to the twin heads to reduce specular highlighting.
Although I think this photographer is actually using too much diffusion on the MT-24 flash heads in recent shots - it gives you an idea of what I mean http://www.flickr.com/photos/alliec2007/
