So I went and bought an Olympus E-PL1
It goes straight against my new years resolution not to buy more gear and, as such, walking into my local branch of Jacobs and asking to play with one was a mistake. Holding it caused a massive temperature increase in my wallet which was suddenly about to go into meltdown through the lining of my trouser pocket. While the first two pen models feel like small cameras with a DSLR shoehorned into them, the baby of the Olympus Pen range feels entirely new. I went out and took some test photos yesterday:

Thanks. OOC JPEG -> Apertrue -> Small boost for contrast, saturation, definition and a little edge sharpening. I tend to use the natural or muted modes so there's always scope for improvement on the MacBook.
The JPEGs out of the camera are very good but I hope Apple will support the raw format soon (I shoot both and sometimes appreciate the little extra that raw gives).
Thanks. I followed the link and now I want the 17mm .
I like the Panasonic 20mm 1.7, but it does cost more.
BTW: Adobe doesn't support the RAW yet either. However they do have a beta raw converter for it, so it will not be much longer.
