DSS 48 - First attempts

So many ideas... So many not working out... :)

These first two I think have some promise. They are of a flowering tree of some sort (light purple flowers), reflected off the surface of a 1980's era mainframe disk drive platter. Picture a CD or DVD, about 1.5 feet across, with a reddish-brown color to it. And a shiny finish.

The last one was just for fun, it is the skyline of the city I work in, reflected off a spherical granite surface.

I like #3 a lot, though if you can bring up the contrast (in camera of course) it could look even better.

Out of the flowers the first one is better

I have a safe that they used to store those discs in. Makes a cool effect. 1 for flowers. The sphere looks like early photography very cool

Thanks for the comments! Funny that #3 is well received, I tossed it in as an afterthought. :)

I have (in the past) taken reflection pictures in that granite sphere with more detail and color. I'll try some more of those later this week when the weather improves. Perhaps setting the camera to B/W would keep the old-time effect for that.

Well it does go well with the theme Mike. I guess it pulls you in as you try and make out the skyline
