Ony Seeing "Photo Deleted" Thumbnail for Gallery

One of my older galleries just shows a "Photo Deleted" thumbnail to represent the gallery and I don't know why. When you go into that gallery everything seems fine. I don't remember deleting any photos there or making any changes. Doesn't matter if I refresh the page or not. I don't usually feature a picture as a thumbnail. Not sure what's going on here. Any ideas?

    Is there any chance you had a featured photo in that gallery that got moved or deleted? I'd suggest trying to feature a photo in that gallery and see if it fills in the thumb.

    Thank you. I found that I was able to feature any thumbnail successfully -- and that gets rid of the Photo Deleted image -- but now I can't seem to "un-feature" any thumbnails and make it random again.

    Keith,

    In the tools button under the for this gallery, there is a remove feature photo option. That will set it back to random.

    See if that helps.

    I'm not given the option to remove the featured thumbnail even for the thumbnail that is featured.

    I had this same exact problem for one of my galleries. I just chose one of the photos to "feature" and that fixed it but I did like having a random thumbnail.

    I've got exactly the same issue for many of my galleries. For examples, see http://pbolchover.smugmug.com/2007

    I'm pretty sure that I _do_ have a featured photo for these galleries, and that I've not touched the gallery settings (or moved any photos). It's possible that the photos might not be smugmungous, but I can't see how that could be an issue.

    This affects so many of my galleries, that I'm going to wait for smugmug to roll out a fix for the problem, rather than fix them all by hand.
