its a beautiful shot, the title indicates that she's only working but i was initially struck by the strong emotion
even if most of her face is obscured by hair.
The face in the background also add to this picture and makes it interesting,
maby even stronger because also there the eyes are shut.
You got some really juicy blacks in here, i love it.

I normally don't comment on titles, but this time I think it seriously detracts. The pic itself is good, though I would crop it square eliminating the left side. I suppose if it's part of a series on waitresses, the title matters less, but as a stand-alone, it takes an intriguing, ambiguous image and makes it banal. I would change it.

YEah, the title is, in a sense, misleading. I agree that a square crop loosing the left side and bit of bare arm, will tighten up the image! thumb.gif

    Very evocative! clap.gifclapclap.gif

this shot doesn't do anything for me. without the eyes there is no emotion. there is nothing really that draws me in.

even with the titel I can't tell it is a waitress. at 1st glance I thought somone was working on her hair.

TorillaTorture, thanks for the kind comments, much appreciated.

    Richard,

Thanks for your suggestions, please if you can think of a title suggest one to me, right now I cant think of any that is appropriate. The series is not on waitress's only, the project came to me by means of another forum member of another forum, Rick Waldroup and his project "riding the rails" (it can be found at http://lightranger.blogspot.com/ ). My version is the people I dine with when I dine alone, it came to me while traveling on work, eating diner by myself but not alone.

Here is a almost square version:
