it's not the size of the lens that matters... It's how you focus it.

I'm curious...in this setting do you just go and shoot, or do you ask the skaters if you can photograph them? In either case what's typically the reaction, if any?

There's a skate park down the road from me where I just moved in Morgan Hill and (weather permitting as I stare at the rain) I've been wanting to get over then and shoot some skaters and/or BMX riders.

    Cheers,
    John

I usually watch and shoot for about 15 min, figure out which kids are nay good. I take a few shots of the kids that are good and approach them with the pics and ask if they have any sick tricks they want captured. Then I set up and shoot. I've only had one person ever say they prefer I don't, I'm pretty sure he was very very stoned.:D
