and not solely in bulk inside a gallery? How? I know you can do a bulk edit of Keywords and Captions inside a gallery, is there some way to apply Keywords to groups of images not just inside galleries.

The only groups of images I know of is a gallery.
After upload keywords can only be added per gallery. Any individual,
    popular, keyword or timeline gallery.

    then select date

I wonder if you could temporarily create a collection that had all your images in it and then assign keywords in the collection gallery. I've never tried it, but thought I'd mention it as an idea.

Thanks, I gather that's the actual result of Allen's suggestion - create a sort of a gallery of images and then apply a keyword...I'll have to think about the process but that does help...

I think the difference in what I was suggesting is that you can create a virtual gallery that contains images from other galleries, use that virtual gallery in order to be able to do bulk keywording on all the images and then get rid of the virtual gallery (or leave it as unlisted).

Thanks -= I have to admit I didn't know about the idea of a virtual gallery - so that is a new concept to me, but should be very helpful...I would imagine that there are all sorts of criteria I could apply within my site [ie not just date]

Doesn't collecting photos require you to go to every photo to collect them? Why not just
    add a keyword there?

If was thinking that you create a smart gallery and include all photos from your site by specifying a widely inclusive date range in a single rule. Then you have them all in one place and you can bulk keyword them all there.

Why not just specify the date range on the date page and use bulk to add
keywords? Seems much simpler, not sure if start and stop in middle of
month can be applied though, might have to do days.

That would work fine. I had no idea you could use bulk keyword on date range, but it looks like you can.

Actually the search suggestion above allows a quick collection of similar [by search term] pix = I haven't had time to work on it further but seems like a fairly simple way to go
