My First Wasp!

I managed to photograph my first Wasp this evening. Now, before you ask, I had a rather compliant wasp. For some reason, it wasn't too good. I found it ailing on the window sill for some reason. So, I transferred it into the centre of a small flower and took some shots. It was still alive however, I suspect that isn't the case now. Shame as they are quite beautiful creatures.
All taken at 1/200 @ F8, ISO 100. 430 EX II with output power varying at level to + 1/3 and 2/3
This one was taken with 2 extension tubes on (is not a crop)
Here is a crop of the last image. Eyes are a little soft but DoF is very small I could have tried stopping down to a smaller aperture I suppose.

Shame she was in trouble. I put her outside in the garden. Not sure of her whereabouts now though.

Good point Brian. Hopefully she's made off somewhere and is ok. It's amazing really. In the past, I never really would have bothered so much but when you start taking photographs of them, you get so much more of an appreciation.
