Hoverfly on azalea leaf- Syrphus ribesii I think

Tiny gall midge on the car- about 2mm body length

he does look like a Humphrey, doesn't he? I like your hover flies, too. Sometimes they come and hang out with me on the deck. Like tiny dogs.

I love those little weevils too, they remind me of a cartoon character from years ago

Hi Al - thanks for the comments

Yes still the same car - still only done 55000 miles and still goes like stink if necessary

- can't see the point of wasting £10K- 20K on a new one whilst this one still goes fine
