image rotation issue

I'm kicking the tires on SmugMug to see if it will be a suitable replacement for my Gallery2 site. So far I like it, but I'm having a nagging problem with rotation.
I have many hundreds of images in my Gallery2 that have already been rotated. When those rotated images are uploaded to SmugMug, they get rotated again.

How can I prevent SmugMug from rotating these images?
