Workshop Time?

I am thinking of doing another small workshop this summer. My initial inclination would be to do it here in Boston, but I'd be open to other suggestions. I'd like to make it a week - say Sunday to Saturday, but that, too, is open to discussion.

All of which is to say, if you'd be interested in week of intensive shooting, looking at images, and pushing the boundaries of your "comfort zone," drop me an Email - no need to comment here - and maybe we can have some back-and-forth about when, where, how, etc., before I formally offer it. Oh, and Virginia and Rutt will both testify to the fact that I am not nearly as mean as I seem to be. :ivar

BTW - I am now toying with the idea of here in Boston, July 2-5, which would mean shooting July 4 insanity in Boston.

Darn it. I was going to use the money from that check to buy a Lumix!!

Seriously, though, the July 4 week sounds like great timing for the workshop! The 4th provides primo shooting opportunities in Boston, especially on the Charles River Esplanade. And there are even outstanding fireworks (think of the faces in the crowd pix you can take!).

Of course, the workshop will challenge you, frustrate you, make you photograph in lighting conditions you hate, expose you to the work of some of the greats of American photography, help you develop the ability to critique your own work as well as the work of others, and teach you something about yourself as a photographer and as a human being.

Also, you will get to know BD so you can decide for yourself if he is the pussycat he claims to be!!

    Virginia

BD, would you send another check please. :D

Working with B.D. has had the largest impact on my photography of anything since I went digital and maybe since I learned to focus. If you do participate in this workshop, I'm sure it will make a difference and help you grow as a photographer.
    If not now, when?

If this gets finalized, I would be interested. I'm sure I'll miss the city by July, so a weekend trip back here would be awesome.

Definitely very interested, but a whole week is too much for me. I run my business, and I will then have to work too much in the evenings to catch up (although Summer is slower months)

Oh WAIT, just saw the July2-5 thing. That may work - pending low enough airfare from CA and someone willing to put me up on a couch...
