I have been trying to learn stacking for my orchid pictures. This orchid was about 8 cm in depth. I took an image about every 0.5cm using a focusing track on my D60 with a microNikkor 105mm lens in manual focus mode. Light was ambient and WB was corrected using a grey lens cover. I stacked 5 images from the set using CombineZM. I am pleased with it and except for an echo on the top most petal I think it is OK.

I guess I forgot how to download image from Flickr. Will try again later.

Nice shot. I see the echo, but its not really noticeable and doesn't detract from the shot. At least not for me.

Looks very good esp for a first stack !

It's normal to have to do some cleaning up of the image after a stack.

    very nice, love the lighting.
stack looks good, the background looks a little patchy,
try using one of the original stack with a good background and use a layer mask to hide the blotches in the stacked image
