Official Aperture Support

Just curious if Smugmug has ever approached Apple to find out what it would take to become an officially supported export-location from within Aperture and what the response was? I'm aware of the Plugin, but I'm talking about getting equal billing with Flickr.

I can imagine the response might be "we can't add a toolbar icon for every photo-hosting site in the world. Create a plugin."

However, Smugmug seems such a natural fit for Aperture, it certainly seems worth asking.

I don't like either of the plug-ins as they aren't "Native" and don't sync changes I make in Aperture with the gallery on Smugmug. Having a dedicated Share > Smugmug and a "Smugmug" gallery section in the Projects tab would make managing Smugmug extremely easy. No plug-in can match an Officially support Share > Smugmug in Aperture.
