Kids grouping - Comments and Ideas

I recently was asked to photograph the children from three families (cousins) for a picture for their grandmother's birthday. The ages ranged from 4 months to 14 years. This is the picture from the series that the families selected.

The posing is not very creative and I welcome suggestions and examples of handling the age range.

This job reinforced for me the value of shooting a series from a tripod to make it easier to clone in faces from other pictures. To get everyone looking in generally the right direction, I had to clone in faces from three other pictures, can you tell which ones?
