a few club shots
yeah I know...hehe
This was my sister-in-laws dear friends b-day bash that I was asked to cover. The only reason I post these because when I walked in the club I sized up the ceilings and walls and put away my fong sphere and decided to go straight bounce with the foamy to try and get some on shoe directional light.
So I was chimping a lot. Often I had to take multiple shots with different flash head angles so naturally I had more tossers then normal. Results though? I think they turned out really nice.
edit: I also learned something about my camera and flash. When AF system is in continuous servo mode..the AF assist on the flash DOES NOT turn on. You have to have it in "S" mode for the IR assist. That threw me for the 1st 20 min. Couldn't get anything in focus because it was so dark

it just 1/2 snoot type deal cut out of black foamy paper that just shields any direct light from your flash hitting your subject.

I believe a "foamy" is a foam variation of a bounce card. There are several home made ones out there and if it covers the end of your flash, like a barrel, it may be called a "snoot".
