I used kind of a chrome process , gives it that 60's B&W TV look.

I really like #1. The sharpness and contrast give it impact. I judge B&W by the old film TriX 400 grain (at least what I remember). The film didn't handle midtones so well and that was perfect for old newsprint paper. They had to screen the full black tones before printing or the ink would smudge

#2-5 not so much. Something happened to the mid torsos on my monitor. The full blacks seems mid toned. The wave spittal seems blurred,; slo shutter?

You might like to visit the PJ forum, there are a couple of old pros (news photogs) that give good advice on the nuances of B&W - and there are good posters there.

Thanks Rags, Always appreciate your input! I'm going to see if I can re-work those shots.

Ditto. I like #1. I'm just not feeling the impact of the other three. They are great shots and the conversion makes them not so great. I'm a rookie for please take my opinion FWIW
