Evening all,
Not sure this is allowed--new territory for me.
Some of you asked to stay posted on my first game as coach with my little guy Jacob--My sister took some shots with her p&s and I processed them into a collage.

First game of the season--Score 10-3 we (team Mood) won on a mercy call in the bottom of the fourth.

This is Jacob and I was first base coach:)

So proud of the team and the other coaches.
Two of my kids got hit hard by fast wild pitches and we were down 3 points in the first inning--

I promise no more gratuitous posts--just this one:D .
Richard if this is not allowed, since I didn't actually take the shots, just processed them, feel free to pull the plug.

Nice, Liz! It's hard to argue about the joy of kids playing ball--no matter who took the shots! thumb.gif

Points? First thing you have to do to be a coach is to get the terminology down. Then you learn to spit. You may get a pass on cup-adjusting, though.

    I like #3, BTW. I love exuberance.

lol-I'm learning Tony--I heard myself say "nice throw er I mean pitch!" and (and this one is really bad, but at least I know it) "swing at the good balls!" way to confuse the kid Coach Liz.

It's as much a learning experience for me as it is for them.

As far as the cup adjusting goes--they did enough of that on their own to cover me and a whole other team.rolleyes1.gif

I like shot #3 also as well as shot #2 (cool as cucumber--where did he get that?).

    Hi Craig:)

    Thank you--thank you very much.

My sis gets credit for the shots, I just processed them, but I was very thankful she got these.

That's the unfortunate thing about me coaching--can't take photos, I can't have my cake and eat it too, or so they keep telling me.

There is no rule against you taking photos (at least where I coached). You can take them from the dugout or even as the first base coach (when no one is on base). Warmups between innings are an excellent time to get a player fielding or throwing a ball.

    Easier than street shooting!

    Hi Rainbow,
Thanks for that comment. I will likely bring the camera to the games halfway thruogh the season or towards the end, once I"m more comfortable with the coaching aspect.

I love those kids and want to be able to remember the season via photos.
    Thanks Rainbow.

Do you have a video camera? Maybe you could set it up in the dugout and let it run for an inning or so. You could take some at practice too--I'm sure that would make for some humorous shots!

Whether you take photos or not, have fun!!! I have great memories of playing softball as a young girl. :D
