What would be a good set up for using a projector and software for shooting cheerleading events showing photos of the event. I found a InFocus projector and a Apollo screen 80" diagonally for $300! Would this be big enough for what i need? What software should i use, light room will let you use two monitors running slide show on one projector. Could use some sort of wi-fi to send photos to my laptop run off the projector. Let me know your setups or any suggestions would greatly help.

When I was working for a ;ocal University....we ran 2 projectors off one laptop all the time for sub titles for the opera's.......no special software.....the subs were power point slides.....no reason you could not do a power point of the pix you want to use for advertising and run it that way..................................

80" screen is quite large.....so I would think that it would work fine and might be over kill......as each venue is different.

A projector tied to your laptop using any program that can do a slideshow will work fine.

However, if you have the opportunity, you DEFINITELY want to have time beforehand to test out the show. Many projectors have terrible color reproduction, so you'll want to see your image projected and then adjust either the projector or your image to compensate.

I don't have any specific advice, sorry. You'll just have to see what options the projector has and play around with it.

I have been tinkering with the same type of idea for the next cheer season, but not using a projector. Once I figure out exactly how I plan to do it, I will share my ideas, for now its still really early in my planning stage.
