Yorktown Beach

When I was finished taking some shots at a race, I headed back to the car which was parked off of Yorktown Beach (in Virginia). The fog had not cleared out yet and created an unusual scene. No PP on this. As always, C+C is welcome :thumb

I love the fog, and I always think inclement weather is more of a blessing than a curse.

The leading lines work exceptionally well in this. Great job!

I know where that is! In fact, I'll be taking my DW there for a picnic this weekend!

As for the photograph - wow, such atmosphere! Well done! But, is the horizon tilted a touch or is it just me?

As is nice, lines, fog etc. Would really benefit with alittle PS...IMO..

Thanks Scott. It seemed like a once a year type thing-it was actually pretty windy and the wind was blowing the fog onto the land.

The horizon may be tilted-I can't really tell. I'll certainly check it out.

Also, thanks for the message about the local photo club. I may be moving in a month or two and don't want to join if I am just going to be leaving. If I am staying I certainly will join.

Part of our digital world, photoshop, love or hate it..OK then.

Colors are off a little, Find black, white and gray areas. ( a course in itself ) Can use levels or curves..
Make a slight S curve in curves.
A little color saturation.
Last step and always last a good deal of sharpening..
( learning how to use a Mask is a large part of adjusting any shot )
Join NAPP, they are worth the mula..
