Hello folks. I figure I'd better just jump in and post or I'll never get around to it! I'm a bit rusty with my forum skills so here's hoping I get this right.

C&C encouraged!

#1 - So happy with the reflection.

Welcome! I agree - the detail in the feathers and the reflection make #1 stand out. #2 is almost too close because you've lost a bit of his tail feathers :)

#3 is ok although I don't think the squirrel stands out against the same coloured headstone.

#4 - I like the DOF and the turtle framed by the OF leaves.

Enjoy the conversations. It's a lot of fun.:D

Nice light on the first two, and framing on the last.
On the squirrel shot I would just crop the area behind the squirrel's tail.

Thank you! I'm having a hard time with the squirrel blending into the stone as well. I'll try cropping and see if that makes me happier.

#2 is my fave. After you've been here awhile we will sit down and have a talk about squirrels.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I like the squirrel on the gravestone, but I suggest cropping it to a square, using the full height of the frame and the area from the left edge to somewhat past the right edge of the squirrel's tail. There seems to me to be a lot of useless space on the right, and I think the composition will balance well as a square.

What Harry is trying to say is that the squirrel should be under the tombstone instead of on top of it! Right Harry??? rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif
