This is a shot taken of the concrete floor in the Cloud Room near the NC Museum of Art. There is a quarter sized hole cut in the ceiling that focuses a crude image on the floor and walls. (The entire structure works like a pinhole camera.) I took a 30 sec exposure and was amazed at how much color information came out.

Interesting in how many times I've been to the NC museums and have not seen this little gem. Awesome idea, by the way, and the angle of the camera to the floor adds an extra something to the shot.

I live 25 minutes from there and never knew about it either. There is a trail off to the side of the museum. Part of it is paved and another part is not. The part that is not goes off into the worlds will lead you to the Cloud Room.

The door to this chamber was used as an entry in a recent challenge too. I've only been once, but it is a very neat and slightly out of the way art installment to get to.

I, too, am a stranger to the cloud room. I'll have to check it out this weekend. Nice find!

When you come to a door... walk through it.
If it's locked... find an open window.
