Variable 10-spot ladybirds

Some shots of 3 different variable 10-spot ladybirds- one of the smaller UK native species around 5-6mm body length but they come in even more colour variations than harlequin ladybirds.

    I don't like bug pictures . . . but the last one is really nice. I like the soft focus around the bug, plus the pink background from the rose(?).

    I'll be checking into this forum more so I can learn from the master. Thanks, Brian!

    #4 has the face, of course, but I like #3 best in terms of composition.

    I find these critters very tough because of their bulbous shape and the size and position of their faces. I had them popping up in my study from time to time during the winter, and I did not get a single shot worth posting.
