Do any of these feel lo-fi? I had some time to play around this week and would love to hear any comments. I'm learning as I go and having fun.
I posted the "sofa" pic and I still like that one but wonder what others think?

    Yes!

I like the last one, the one that appears to be a mirror in a car. I also think it would do well to frame a pair of eyes in it!

I am torn between 1, 5 and 6. #1 has a certain calming effect with the stairs and softness vinette, but I wonder if the vinette is missing from the bottom? #6 is a cool shot but IMO, I don't feel it strong on the theme. Its too hi fi.

#5 is IMO, the best one that fits the theme and I like the noise and the red pixel in the middle of it. Can't get any lower fi than that! My only suggestion if you choose to use that one is that you use the crop tool in the challenge gallery and crop it square to get rid of the house in the background.thumb.gif

Thanks for your feedback! I'm super appreciative. :D

Great idea on cropping in #5, JAG. And, I hadn't even noticed the red pixel...took me awhile to see it. Might be time to calibrate my monitor. Laughing.gif

On #1 I used a Lensbaby plastic lens, so the vignette effect is skewed.

Unless I do something lo-fi this weekend with the camera, I'll probably just keep the "sofa" pic in the contest. I do like that it was a chance find at one of my favorite local parks.

I'm loving all the lo-fi pics being posted for C&C...what a creative collection.

I think for the challenge, the cat is probably the best choice, but I do kinda like the stairs too, probably not much help, sorry

I like #1. Did you use a LensBaby? I like the selective focus on it. That'd be my pick. :D

I like the last one a lot. Its lo-fi in its simplicity as a straight shot. In other words, you kept it simple, didn't use elaborate techniques to get your lo-fi shot. Its a really cool shot!
