I like this set very much with its related theme. I tend to characterize your style as finding a setting with great compositional elements and then waiting for a person to happen along to complete the picture.
One and two are great shadows/contrast. The third one shows off that wonderful late afternoon lighting and is handled well.
Rainbow: Yeah, one of the things I do is see a background and wait for the foreground to fall into place. Part of it is composition, but recently I've been paying more attention to the light. #1 is a good example. But as often as not, I just see something and grab it, which happened in #3.

Really like #1 and #2.
#1 because of the comp and angle and also because he's walking with his hand behind his back (reminds me of my Dad).
#2 because of the beast--he's his own worst enemy.
