Missing large sizes?

This is an unlisted gallery I use for storing images used around my site. Suddenly I cannot see anything larger than Medium size (I checked the gallery settings - it goes to X3) - this is making a lot of things look terrible, like my banner, etc. Also some seem to only have Th size - and their thumbs are acting strangely (like, they are square thumbs so now the whole image is just the square thumb cropping, not the image as it once looked). Just very weird stuff going on... Any thoughts?



Edited to say I understand that some things are small and might not exist in a large size... but all the things I linked to before (using "get a link") worked fine and now I have smaller sizes showing up in some cases, and red Xs on external sites. Very annoying.
