WE all know that ladybirds are great for eating aphids, and cross-pollinating as well. The wife spotted this 7-spot ladybird on the forsythia flowers.

This little lady has I think, taken the latter to the extreme and is doing more for her species than maybe she ought to be doing!

Light was harsh sunlight.

Wonderful capture-Not sure if ladybirds eat pollen but they certainly like nectar.

As far as I know they only eat aphids, but she sure was busy looking in all the flowers heads. Maybe she was hungry - there were no greenfly on the plant at all. Not seen any yet this year.
