Sonoran Desert

I had a free morning on my business trip (today), so I got up for the sunrise in the Sonoran outside Apache Junction, AZ. I should have gotten around to see more, but since this was just a bonus for a business trip, I'm happy with it. Most all of the photos were with a Nikon D700 w/Tamron 28-300VC and no tripod. I took just a couple with the Panasonic LX3. I think the one with the orange flower is the only one in this set with the LX3.
Once again, I say you're wasting the best part of the day if you're sleeping in. Get out and enjoy the sunrise :-)
I did not find the Lost Dutchman's Gold, but I did find a few photo ops. All I have to work with is a laptop screen, so pardon me if anything is too bright or whatever. Hard to tell if I've got the right tweaks just using the laptop screen! Enjoy!

Thanks I see you're nearby here. Lucky you. You can go out and shoot this type of stuff any time. I'll have to hit the desert on a real vacation in the next few years for sure!
My Gallery
Sure do. It's part of the reason I moved here. Just don't vacation here during the summer..it's a bit hot haha.
