For Sale is a Canon EF-S 55-250 IS f/4-5.6 with a Digipower UV 58mm filter. No box included, just the lens, caps, and filter. In terms of weight, what would you compare this to?....
17-55 F2.8IS....50mm F1.4?
Just curious. Im trying to convince a fellow grinner to take the plunge on a 70-200 F2.8IS and get one of these as a lightweight walk around to replace her 70-200 F4.
She shoots swim meets (some indoors) and portraits, and isn't impressed with the 85 F1.8 at wide open apertures, and her 70-200 F4 may not be bright enough for the indoor meets....but she likes it's light weight.
any thoughts...opiminon?

This lens weighs 15.4 ounces... which if you compare to the 70-200 that weighs like 4 lbs. The 17-55 weights 22 ounces and the 50 1.4 weighs 10.2 ounces. So that should give you some perspective in regards to weight.
