Uploader won't replace duplicates

I love the new uploader. I have used to to skip dups, and replace them, but I have a case where it doesn't do the right thing.

I re-exported a batch of photos from Lightroom changing nothing but the keywords. When I try to upload and replace the ones already on SmugMug, the uploader says, "Identical, skipping!".

I need to update the keywords on these, because I'm using Smart Galleries based on Keyword rules.

Any suggestions, or future fixes appreciated! For now, the photos happen to be fairly contiguous, and I can go delete them first.

Thank you!

Here's a guess. I might suggest changing the JPEG compression setting slightly on your Lightroom export in order to generate a slightly different image that the uploader will think is different and actually do the replace on.

    Hi

I think I have bad news for you! The replace tool will not replace an identical image, so as John suggested slightly changing the image size will work. However, the replace function replaces the image only and does not replace EXIF, so your new keywords won't be found! Sorry. You will need a new upload to get new keywords up.
