A tree with heart

In San Francisco, along the Great Highway (the beach road), there is a Cypress tree, that I have been watching for more than thirty years.

It's off the road a little and I haven't had the time to stop in all those years.

Beaten up by the constant Pacific off shore winds, it survives. It's not going to win any beauty contests but it's a good metaphor.

Color and B&W

it is amazing how some trees can hang on in adverse conditions!

Nice set of captures! I like the color one better. thumb.gif

    I prefer the B&W one myself (I'm a biased B&W person!)

Nicely shot and I like how you've processed the B&W shot, it looks natural, not too sharp or too grainy.
