Some shots from last Sunday's rural exploration, a very disappointment tour... We drove 200+ kilometers and found only one abandoned house...

The lighting is terrific. Love the POV as well in each shot. The focus and exposures are great. Nice stuff here.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I know these are not everybody's cup of tea, so it's nice to see people connecting with them somewhat :) I'm personally not too fond of the last one (composition is poor, but I like the colour), and might also re-crop #1.

Your peeling paint photos looks so dimensional -- any hints on how you do it :D

#3 is my favorite -- even if it isn't your favorite.

Just be lucky enough to find nice peeling paint with light hitting from the side :)

    Thank you, Mary!

200k is a long ways to go. I thinking the drive itself was enjoyable. Love a
    good drive over the road.

Like photo #2 the best in this set. :D

Nice shots, really shows off the lighting and texture. I really like the first two and particularly the diagonals in the 2nd.

Well, me and my buddy talk photography most of the time we're out there looking for places to shoot, so it wasn't that bad... but it's still 200 km! (also, think of the gas...)

    Thanks Daddy O and wendell!
