Awaiting the blessed event!

This Spring a pair of cardinals built their nest in our rose arbor. Here is a picture of the eggs in the nest. They should hatch sometime this week.

    What a wonderful thing to be able to photograph. I look forward to seeing the newly hatched babies :D

    Well they both hatched. This is a picture of them the day they hatched. Sorry about the focus, but the parents weren't too happy about me taking their picture. Both chicks are doing fine and are being well cared for. There are quite a few other young fledglings flying about our backyard feeder fluttering their wings begging the adults to feed them.

    This is just great--the before and after.

    Hope you post more as they grow. Did you give them a name yet? :)

    I like the one with the mouth/beak? wide open, I can almost hear the waaaaaa.
    I do wish the shot was a little sharper, but I still enjoy looking at it.

    Wow...this is way cool. You are so lucky. Focus doesn't concern me at all looking at this photo...its just great to see new life coming into this world.
