here are some of my initial sketches. i am shooting with my cell phone, and though its a good cam phone (droid 5mp), its clearly limited. so i'm looking at these as sketches. i want to come back to the same subject matter with a real macro lens (hopefully a nikon 105 2.8, if i get it next week!).

c&c welcome on these. thanks! -mark;)

Interesting concepts... I have no idea what any of them are (it's a good thing mwink.gif).

Of these, I like the second one best.

Until you get your dedicated macro and if you're getting antsy, you can flip a lens on top of the mounted one (front elememt to front element). They even make adapters that screw onto the filter threads to do that. Something I did before I got my first true macro.

I can't for the life of me figure out what these are! headscratch.gifclap.gif

I like the composition/colors of #2, and I like the texture of #4. Can't wait to see your reshoots.

To me it's obvious that they are details of some glass objects you have.

I like #1 as an abstract but it needs something more for the composition...
    - maybe a little changed angle, or light and shadow, or just clarity of texture - I cannot say for sure.

3rd one could be a car hood and the 4th one looks like an orange slice??

I'm liking #2 the best. Nice composition.

Can't wait to see what you come up with with the real macro lens!!

Thanks for the comments! These were all taken at work. I'm VERY tempted to tell what they are, but I'll wait until later for that. Good guesses, but no cigar!
