Is Sail Boat Racing A Sport

I like to stick to ball sports, though I was asked to shot a sail boat race. Nice, it rained was cold on the water and I fought with the coast guard to get close while I tried to get a shot. Enjoy...these guys were having fun. C&C's always make me stronger.

I think that the shot is excellent, but I would have liked to see the entire boat in the frame. You may not have the detail in the faces though.

You'd be surprised how hard you actually work on a sailboat during a highly competitive race.

I guess that day it just didn't seem like much. I knew after I hit post I realized I was a little tired. The Coast Guard said it was like herding cats.

I grew up in Kingston, and reconize the bay...used to sail catamarans off of 'Gansett over to Jamestown and Newport...miss the bay...

You have a keen eye my friend, the picture was taken from Beavertail. One of the best spots in all of RI.
