From test driving my 100 - 300mm f2.8 Sigma. I don't use it much yet. :D
About a 50% crop from original. Applied my favorite PS filter...
Filter>Stylize>Diffuse>Anisotropic.

Nice shot! You framed it very nicely. I don't recognize the birds, must not make it to TN, and thanks for reminding me about that particular filter. I haven't used it in so long it had slipped my mind.

Thx Wendell. :D Easy to frames things half way decent in the cropping yes.
Appreciate your saying. Neat you too are attracted to the values that
particular filter can bring to a photo. I see its effects vary widely often
changing its impact depending on the photos image size. Small size
bringing greatest obvious visual effect and large images least obvious
effect. I love this filter and its smoothing ways. Awesome.

The birds are Brewer’s Blackbird, Red-winged Blackbird,
Common Grackle. Best I can tell from Idaho Birds net search.
Glad you made me look. I didn't know either save that they were
perhaps blackbirds of somekind. :D Michael
