Photo popularity scores

I have thumbs up/thumbs down and comments/ratings enabled in all my galleries. Obviously I can see all the star ratings that people give when they post comments, but as far as I can tell there is no way to know how many people (I don't care who, just how many) have given each image thumbs up or thumbs down. I'm also curious to know how thumbs combine with star ratings to determine an image's overall popularity, and whether/how popularity is affected by age (that is, does a thumbs-up given a year ago count the same as one given yesterday, or not).

So I'd really like to see two things:

(1) In the owner view of each photo or gallery, a summary of ratings (X people gave 5 stars, Y people gave 4 stars, Z people gave thumbs up, Q people gave thumbs down) and a final popularity score that can be compared to the scores of other photos;

(2) In Smugmug's online help, documentation on how overall popularity is calculated.

What do you think?

    Hi, no I'm sorry there's no way to know how many thumbs up. And we do keep the formula for how popularity is calculated a secret, I'm sorry!

    Okay, so are you just keeping a cumulative score without tracking history? Then how about just making the numeric popularity score available so that I can see how a photo's score changes over time? If two adjacent photos in my "most popular" list swap places, it would be interesting to know whether one's popularity went down or the other went up.
