Just my normal camera in manual, ISO100/200, F10/F11, 1/200th and ETTL diffused flash. I did actually use a 2ND filter on some of these to reduce the bright sun effect.

so thats what a honey bee looks like are there too many hairs on its abdomen and not very pronounced bands ?

Phil - not certain it is a honey bee in the first shots - about the only way I can tell is if it has hairy eyes and you can't really see that in those shots.
