abandoned pioneer cemetery

Outside of Florence, AZ is the old Adamsville Cemetery. Now owned by the City of Florence but not maintained, the cemetery dates to the late 1870s.

    I love this shot. The foreground holds it all together. Good exposure..focus..nice POV.. What a find.

    Thanks for the comments, guys. I was busy taking pictures around the markers when I saw the wildflowers still in bloom in the shade of the tree and a little light bulb went on over my head. :D

    Yes, visiting there always reminds me that this life and it's trappings are not permanent: There's a man buried there who served in both the Congress of the Confederate States of America and then the U.S. Congress after the Civil War. Important man in his time but now residing in an abandoned old cemetery on an Arizona back road. He doesn't even have one of the larger markers.
