San Juan Island, day 1

I'm finally getting around to processing the multitude of photos I have from our (my wife and I) trip to Washington State. I probably should say that these are from day 2, but with about 18 hours of travel the day before, they all sort-of blended into the day 1.
I've posted a few already, so there might be repeats. C&C is more than welcome.
There's the plane ride over
The view from our hotel room while at Friday Harbor:
I've never actually seen a seaplane take off before, but it was pretty cool:
I really liked this lighthouse and how the clouds and water split the image into thirds.
Textures and colors were quite a bit different than what I'm used to
The wife and I... you can see how tired I am from the day before. We're all bundled up because weather in the 40's was freaking cold for people living in NC that past few years.
Kelp... wierd
Look at ME!!
Another interesting bird
The wife wouldn't leave this poor little guy alone.
... She got a little bored with me playing "tourist with a camera", but had no idea I got this shot.
Day 1 ended with some local brew. Can't remember what it was, but it was good.
Thanks for looking.
