And it smelled pretty gross. Need to find better-smelling incense. I took 59 photos, kept 17, processed 11, and from those, I had 70 variations. First pass to post got down to 25, next 17, next 14. I've decided to post them all, though they are somewhat delineated: First 6 are "original" color, next 4 are playing with gradient overlays, and the final 4 are variations on the same photo that I think, when inverted, looks like a stylized illustration of paint pouring from a magic paint bucket. :)

If for some reason you are interested in all of them, you can view the directory listing and browse.

Wow! That's some good work there. thumb.gif Usually don't see shots like these colored. Actually, I've never seen colored smoke trails.

Thank you for the kind comments. This was my second try with smoke and I'm definitely liking how they're turning out these days. Figuring out if/how to color them is really subjective, which is why I posted some variations in some cases. I actually really like #2 with the patterns and shades - looks almost like stained glass, I think. And #3 are all original colors (except for inverting them), though they have been enhanced.

It's fun to do, though a lot of work. If you have an afternoon or evening free, you should try it! thumb.gif
