I got some other comments that the black from the thin pages is distracting, one suggestion was to put a piece of black paper between the pages so that the black does not show through - what is your take on that is the bleed through that distracting?
yes it is distracting, but the paper looks quite thin and you might not be able to prevent it.
could try different colour sheets to see difference.
maybe shooting at a higher angle to have more of the cross in focus showing the texture in the cross more clearly
