Damselfly suprise 2nd part

After finding the damselfly in part 1, I went to look at the pond filter tanks. I found 2 empty nymph cases on the pond pump riser tube and actually spotted another 2 nymphs underwater sitting in a filter brush. I can only assume that the eggs or nymphs were swept into the tank from the main pond last year and spent their entire lives in the small tank with the pond pump helping to keep them warm. A little later I found another newly emerged damselfly just keeping above the water surface by clinging to a filter bristle which was sticking out of the water . I carefully moved it to a dryer spot on the lid of the main filter tank to elongate further and dry out. At least they kept themselves safe from the large koi in the pond.

Thanks for the comments.
Shots are a bit out of order for a life cycle but I was interested in finding where they were coming from. Think most damsels and dragons emerge the year after the eggs were laid.

They are handheld but in every case I was bracing myself or the camera against something.
