    Michael,

I'm staying with the original B&W on this one. It seems to have more impact on me.....even though it's a much more simple rendering. The color version has too much going on; all those " specks " or " globs " tend to clutter it up. Just my opinion, of course.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I don't get the same cave painting feel in the color version--the colors are too vivid and are the wrong hue--but I find it more appealing as an abstract. Both are good in different ways. thumb.gif

Its very nice to get your sense of it Tom. Thank you. :D
Your points are great ones and I'm listening good buddy. I did go pretty
heavy with this color variation. In another go at it, likely I would tread
very lightly to see what happens there.

Really appreciate your notes on this one Richard. Particularly on the nature
of the color. Your saying it true. The hues are so questionable for sure. Its
a new box of crayons for me so I really need to figure the blends way
better than I did here. Again thank you for saying just as you did. :D

    Michael,

There's nothing wrong with the hues as an abstract. They're quite pleasing. My comment was about cave paintings, which tend to be more blacks, reds, browns and oranges and are, of course, less saturated due to fading. This whole cave painting thing is just my idea anyway, so pay it no mind. mwink.gif

Ahh... Ok. I see what you mean now. Good to know you feel the colors
do work well enough here. I can tell you I had a tough time bringing the
colors to where they might work together. I left it where I did unsure of
    the colors.

I did like your impression of "Cave Painting" feel and would like to pursue that a bit.
With your color info provided I will give it a try. Lightly this time.
Its a new tool for me to add color like this. My 13 yr old son showed me
how to do it in layers yesterday afternoon. Excited I went to the BW soon
as I could and started brushing etc. My first "real" effort using layers to
    any extent.

Thanks for the follow up Richard. thumb.gif
