I like the expression, the 'pose' and the bright eyes.
I am less excited about, the shirt being completely blown out (challenging a white/light colored shirt and flash) and the catchlight being smack in the middle of his pupil, and a little blown out as well (to the point of CCD blooming).

    XO,
The shirt doesn't look blown out to me, but the direct flash does wash it out a bit. The expression is great, but just dial down the flash a bit.

Being bitten once before this AM, I just measured, large parts of the collar are 255,255,255, other parts in teh shirt are close there to.

It's not blown out. It's white. Sometimes getting caught up on technicalities can ruin a good portrait. This is a good portrait. I don't see why it would matter if it was blown out or not- the shirt isn't a large part of interest and his eyes are demanding your attention anyways.

I like it. He looks like he's having a great time. :D

I do birds. I have been "bitten" so often by being "blown", a concept I had never been aware of before, I go the opposite direction if possible.

But I have never understood why things cannot be white. Also, when one of the numbers is 255, or whichever blown is, and the other numbers are 245, is that blown, or just deficient in one color?

Sorry, just don't understand this, have been working in a way as to avoid criticism, but have never understood this.

Oh, and I do like the photo! Properly framed, a parent would never know any of this stuff, I don't think, but then I am a bit confused.

    Hi Autumn,
What an adorable shot, quite the cute kid. Wonderful timing in the capture as the expression is pricelessthumb.gif. My only negative would be the catchlights in the eyes, but a little PS could fix that (if it were mine).

Thanks for sharing a nice moment,
    Chris
